Group works with national corporations like Bombardier Motor Corporation
of America to develop customized marketing and promotional materials.
Often times these customized programs include Web-based initiatives
and the need for Triathlon to partner with a strategic web development
and marketing firm to facilitate, design and maintain such initiatives.
Need
Having worked with Triathlon on a project for a mutual client,
Distinctia was awarded the privilege of designing an entirely new
website for the Government Agency Outboard Motor Sales division
of Bombardier Motor Corporation of America.
This division provides government agencies with the ability to
purchase Evinrude and Johnson outboards and genuine outboard motor
parts & accessories direct from the manufacturer. The objective
was to replace the original website which was not only outdated
but not fully functional, with a new site in addition to establishing
a successful online presence among the major search engines and
directories.
Solution
After conducting an extensive analysis that included an in-depth
keyword analysis using the Wordtracker database, a thorough competition
analysis and usability & navigation analyses, a design was finalized
and development was underway.
All ethical search engine optimization techniques were employed
and Distinctia provided search engine copywriting services on pages
where needed.
Upon completion and final sign-off, the site was submitted to the
major search engines and directories and gained acceptance into
ODP on the first request.
From barely having a search engine presence with a few pages indexed
on a total of 4 search engines, the new website was now visible
on 15 search engines including Google, MSN and Yahoo.
The site has gained a substantial increase in traffic within three
months of launching the new site and has jumped from having a mere
5 top 20 rankings to 64 Top 20 rankings, with 43 in the Top 10.
